Meet the Team

our-team-daniel-rodriguez-budget-coach

Daniel Rodriguez – CEO | Money Coach

Dr. Budgets was founded because Daniel realized many people struggle with creating healthy spending habits. They don’t know how to change their current patterns to support their goals, and would love the help of an actual person to show them how to plan, spend money, and save money. They want someone to keep them on track, hold them accountable, and encourage them so they can achieve their financial goals.

Due to Daniel’s background in personal finance, accounting, and business sales, his clients really profit from his well-rounded understanding of their personal and business needs. His non-judgmental and confidential approach makes the process easy and enjoyable.  Daniel is passionate about what he does, and he enjoys creating spending plans that his clients can implement immediately and sustain for the long run.

Daniel Rodriguez was born and raised in San Diego, CA.  He graduated cum laude from San Diego State University with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration (emphasis in Accounting).  He earned his Master’s degree from SDSU in Financial and Tax Planning, and was honored as the Outstanding Graduating MSBA Student by the SDSU Finance department in 2007. He has worked for Qualcomm, PricewaterhouseCoopers, ING, Northwestern Mutual, and First Choice Business Brokers

Thanks to Daniel’s bilingual parents, he is fluent in three languages (English, Spanish, and German). When he is not helping his clients achieve their goals, he loves to travel to Europe, spend time with his family, play disc golf, play tennis, and root for the SDSU Aztecs basketball team. Kai Dickens – Wealth & Life Coach

Kai is extremely passionate about supporting people in living the life of their dreams and transforming their relationship with money. Through his work as a coach, he quickly found that the biggest obstacles holding people back from creating that dream life and earning the amount money they want were their limiting beliefs and old money stories. As the wealth and life coach at Dr. Budgets, he tailors his coaching to each client and provides the tools and accountability needed to reprogram those old unconscious behaviors.

Kai is a California native who has had the pleasure of living in many different cities in the US. He is a graduate of and former mentor coach with Accomplishment Coaching in San Diego and is currently working on an MS in Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego.

When he is not working, you can find Kai looking for his next adventure, playing laser tag, paintball, or working out. As an avid traveler, he loves Southeast Asia and is currently working on visiting each country in that region.
